Mondrian

So nail art seems to be having a real moment. With a tight budget and an endless amount of time on my hands this was a way to fill my Tuesday night ...please don't judge

So my nails are so on point it could be confused with a  Mondrian  replica. Below is a step-by-step on how I did it.

 I started by painting them white for the base while leaving my ring finger red for the double C's

 After the white was dry I drew on the lines the best part is it doesn't have to be even 

 This is where it gets tricky. I would suggest using a clean brush and dipping it in to the color you want to fill in your squares with. Using black,red,yellow and blue you can fill in the squares with any color combo you want or if you want to roam a bit from the original use any color combination that floats your boat. After the colors were done I placed the C's on and secured them with two coats of top coat.

So the blog-a-sphere has been buzzing that there respective homelands are still enduring the cold and raining weather. I on the other hand wouldn't know what freezing is I live in South Florida  In an effort to no rub it in I've waited for all you snow birds to come out from the frost and join me by the pool. I know I haven't posted an outfit in well ....FOREVER. When I found this stunning white lace dress at the fall sale at LF I honestly fell in LOVE! This dress was purchased weeks ago and I had to wait for the  right time to wear it, I choose the KISS concert on St. Patricks day. I realize this is not green so I tried to jazz it up with the green hair extensions. The show was amazing the perfect way to celebrate the Irish rock hard & loud.

Fashion Week Wrap-Up

So fashion week is over ... I know we have to wait till August for the circus and side show to begin. I don't know if your make up routine is as stagnate as mine has become or if while watching the shows your to transfixed by every color blocked look to the full length fur coats that you completely missed the make up well if you have said yes to either of these questions I urge you to take a trip over to MAC. Seams to me we have lost the magic of fashion and all that it implies. I know you must be thinking how can she say that we are in an age where fashion shows are televised to run simultaneously as they walk, we can watch "how-to" backstage videos of our fav models but, do we really but this into rotation of our daily lives? We aren't all Jane Aldridge with that perfect occasion outfit and the fabulous place to wear it to but maybe we should look to our past to the likes of Veronica Lake, Grace Kelly and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. I highly doubt these women would wake up run out int here pajamas to make a Starbucks run, no they wouldn't go out of the ouse less than put together and I think its something we should reinstate. No more "if I only had a place to wear it" type comments from now on we should dress like to quote Usher "its the last night or lives"

Waris Ahluwalia part one

I know i've been absent for quite awhile and do promise to try never to be absent for that long again. Today  StyleCaster's 50 most stylish New Yorkers came out and on the list was one stylish fellow I had seen but couldn't place Waris Ahluwalia after some googling I had an "ah ha" moment and proceed to have another "ah ha" moment when it hit me that I have never blogged about mens fashion. Waris is one of a kind he is iconic for his ever present turban and beard. He has a drool worthy line of jewelry House of Waris and can be seen in his buddy Wes Anderson's films. He has a list of sparkly famous friends maybe those he befriended in his former party hopping ways?

I've been dying to wear the shoes pants combo I think the cut outs in the shoes coupled with the pattern of the pants made me giddy with excitement to take these photos. Worn out to go have lunch and run some errands today but I couldn't hold off on wearing it any longer. The shoes were a Christmas gift and I can't believe it has taken me this long to wear them might be because of the ridiculous heel

Late New Years resolution give these shoes the love and attention they deserve.
